Drumming Mechanics
I am Kaizuke, good at playing drums, I’m here to help beginners
to improve or enhance their skills at drumming. Just an introduction about
myself, when I was 2 – 3 years old I started dreaming of playing drums. With having
that dream, I’ve enhanced myself and so far I can already play any kind of
genre from classic songs to metal songs.
In this blog why don’t we define the parts of drums?
The basic parts of a drum set.
The Bass
The bass, a feat control and it is where the toms (which
will I explain later) stand in. This bass is one of the main part of a drum
set, it is a mandatory thing which gives the music how fast the song is (tune)
The Snare
Snare, also one of the main parts of a drum set. A hand
control, usually it is placed in front of the drummer. By using snare and bass
alone can already give us a beat and totally this two parts can already be
played in a song.
The Toms
Normally in a drum set, it is composed of three toms, the
high, mid, and low or floor toms. These toms can be differentiating from its
tune. These toms are usually used to power the songs, free styles, rolling and
to design a song as long as it suits the beat.
Hi Hat
Hi Hat is the one place at the side of the snare. It is also
a type of cymbal that is used to give a rhythm for a song.
Ride Cymbal
Ride is the alternative of hi hat. The size of the ride is
the biggest, used for designing the songs.
Crash Cymbal
Crash is used to power the song, it is used to power and
synchronize your rolling. Crash can also be an alternative to hi hats.
